The Skinsoother is a soft silicone brush that fits in your palm. It gently lifts loose flakes in the bath, and its raised massage beads help work moisturiser into the skin afterwards. It is suitable from birth.

Using it for cradle cap
- Massage a little coconut, olive or baby oil into the scalp 10 to 15 minutes before the bath to soften the flakes.
- In lukewarm water, brush in slow, small circles over the scalp with a gentle baby wash. Hot water dries skin further.
- Rinse well and pat dry. Do not rub, and do not chase every flake in one bath.
- While the skin is still damp, apply your usual baby moisturiser and use the raised beads to work it in.
- Rinse the brush and press its suction cup onto the bath wall so it dries between uses.
Dry patches and everyday bathing
- Two or three times a week is enough for cradle cap.
- For dry patches on the cheeks, scalp and creases, brush gently at bath time, then moisturise while the skin is damp.
- It can be used very gently on the face. Keep it away from the eyes.
- On the scalp, including the soft spot, use light pressure only.
- For thick or widespread cradle cap, the Flake Fixer kit adds a fine-tooth comb.
In the box and care
- One Skinsoother silicone brush and a suction cup for storing it on the bath wall.
- BPA-free and phthalate-free.
- Rinse and air-dry after each use. It is also dishwasher safe.
When to see someone
If the skin is red, weeping, cracked or not improving after a few weeks, see your GP or child health nurse. Eczema and skin infections need a proper check, not a brush.
