Using Mamave Bubba products on your baby

Created by Coolkidz Australia

The Mamave Bubba range is made for babies and young children. This guide covers what each product is and how to use it.

What is in the Bubba range

  • Bubba's Wash: an all-in-one wash for hair and body, so you only need one product at bath time. Pump a small amount into the bath and cleanse your baby's skin with a soft washcloth, or lather it over their body and hair with a soft sponge or your hands.
  • Bubba's Moisturiser: a daily cream. It works best after a bath while the skin is still slightly damp, but you can also apply it to dry skin. Massage it in gently using circular motions.
  • Bubba's Massage Oil: a light plant oil for baby massage. Warm a small amount between your hands, then massage gently into the tummy, legs and arms. Add more as needed.
  • Bubba's Barrier Cream: a fragrance free cream for nappy change time. Apply a thick layer to your baby's bottom so it forms a barrier between the wet nappy and their skin.

Using the moisturiser and oil together

If your baby's skin looks extra dry, apply Bubba's Moisturiser first, then follow with Bubba's Massage Oil.

When to start

On the product pages for Bubba's Moisturiser and Bubba's Massage Oil, Mamave recommends waiting until your baby is at least one month old before using skincare products, because newborn skin is very delicate in the first month.

Scent

Bubba's Moisturiser and Bubba's Massage Oil are lightly scented with lavender and ylang ylang essential oils. Bubba's Wash contains mandarin essential oil. Bubba's Barrier Cream has no fragrance.

Patch test first

Mamave suggests patch testing before you use any skincare product. If irritation occurs, stop using the product and see your doctor. If your baby has a diagnosed skin condition, check with your doctor before use.
