Mamave Bubba's Wash: how to use it at bath time

Created by Coolkidz Australia

Bubba's Wash is a gentle all-in-one wash for your baby's hair and body, so one bottle covers the whole bath. Here is how to use it and what is inside.

Two ways to use it

Mamave gives two ways to use Bubba's Wash. Choose whichever suits your bath routine.

  1. Pump a small amount of the wash into the bath water.
  2. Gently cleanse your baby's skin using a soft washcloth.

Or, if you prefer to wash directly:

  1. Pump a small amount onto a soft sponge or into your hands.
  2. Gently lather it over your baby's body and hair.

What is in the formula

Bubba's Wash uses naturally derived, coconut-based surfactants for mild cleansing and is pH balanced for baby skin. Its key ingredients are:

  • Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), which helps hydrate and support the skin barrier.
  • Borage seed oil, which is naturally rich in GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid).
  • Calendula flower extract, traditionally used to calm and comfort the skin.
  • Aloe vera, known for its soothing and cooling properties.
  • Pomegranate extract for antioxidant support.
  • Naturally derived mandarin essential oil, which scents the wash, and cucumber seed oil.

The wash does not contain parabens or the sulphates SLS and SLES. It does contain sodium coco sulphate, which Mamave describes as a mild, gentle surfactant derived from coconuts. Bubba's Wash is vegan and cruelty free.

After the bath

Mamave suggests avoiding soap bars on babies, because soap is basic (above pH 9) and can disrupt the skin's natural acid mantle. After the bath you can follow up with Bubba's Moisturiser or Bubba's Massage Oil, ideally while your baby's skin is still slightly damp.

Good to know

As with any skincare, Mamave recommends a patch test first. If your baby has a diagnosed skin condition, check with your GP or pharmacist before use.
