Bubba's Moisturiser is Mamave's daily cream for baby skin, made to hydrate and calm dry skin after the bath. This guide covers when to apply it and what is in it.
How to apply it
- Apply after the bath, while your baby's skin is still slightly damp. Skin absorbs creams better when slightly damp, which helps lock in extra moisture.
- Take a small amount of moisturiser.
- Massage it gently into your baby's skin in circular motions.
- Repeat daily, or as part of your after bath routine.
You can also apply it to dry skin at other times of the day.
Using it with Bubba's Massage Oil
If your baby's skin is looking extra dry, Mamave suggests applying Bubba's Moisturiser first and then following with Bubba's Massage Oil for extra hydration. Mamave also describes the moisturiser as formulated to assist with baby massage.
Key ingredients
- Squalane, a lightweight hydrator that mimics the skin's natural oils to help lock in moisture.
- Borage seed oil, naturally rich in Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) to help relieve dryness and support the skin barrier.
- Mango seed butter, rich and conditioning to help soften skin.
- MCT oil for lightweight, silky hydration.
- Calendula flower extract, traditionally used to calm and comfort the skin.
- Pomegranate extract for antioxidant support.
- Lavender and ylang ylang essential oils for a light, calming scent. There is no artificial fragrance.
Bubba's Moisturiser is vegan and cruelty free.

When to start
Mamave recommends waiting until your baby is at least one month old before using skincare products, because newborn skin is very delicate while its natural barrier forms. Patch test first, and check with your GP or pharmacist if your baby has a diagnosed skin condition.
