The Frida Mom postpartum products are designed to be used together as a simple bathroom routine after birth. All of these items are for external use.
The routine
- Cleanse with the Peri Bottle. Fill it with warm water before you sit down. Hold it upside down and spray from front to back while you are on the toilet and afterwards, then pat dry.
- Wear the disposable underwear. It holds a maxi pad and an ice pad in place. It is single use, so bin it after wearing.
- Cool with an Instant Ice Maxi Pad. Fold the pad in half to activate it, then shake. Place it in your underwear and wear it for up to 20 minutes at a time. No freezer is needed. Each pad is single use.
- Add a Cooling Pad Liner. Lay a liner on top of your maternity pad, front to back. Replace it every time you change your pad.
- Finish with Perineal Foam. Shake the bottle, then pump the foam onto your pad or liner. You can use it at every pad change.
Looking after the Peri Bottle
Rinse the bottle and let it air dry between uses. Refill it so it is ready for your next bathroom visit.
Choosing your underwear
- The High Waist style has a waistband that sits above a caesarean incision.
- The Boyshort style has a lower rise and feels more like everyday underwear.
- Both styles are one size fits most.
Which kit has the Peri Bottle?
The Postpartum Recovery Kit does not include the Peri Bottle. The Hospital Labour and Delivery Kit does, along with a gown, socks and a carry bag. The bottle is also sold separately.
