Here are answers to the questions Nanit owners ask most often once the camera is up and running.

Do you need a subscription?
No. Live HD video, two-way audio and instant alerts work without a plan. Nanit Insights is the optional plan that adds sleep analytics, extended video history and personalised guidance. It is included free with every camera for the first 3 months. When that ends, the core features keep working, and you can choose whether to continue Insights on a paid plan.
What happens if the internet drops?
The camera keeps working on your local network, so you can still see and hear your baby at home. Remote viewing and alerts return once it reconnects.
How does breathing motion monitoring work?
The camera reads the printed pattern on Nanit Breathing Wear, so no sensors touch your baby. You need at least one piece of Breathing Wear, and larger sizes are sold separately as your baby grows. Nanit is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, monitor or prevent any medical condition, including SIDS. Always follow recommended safe sleep practices.
Can other carers use the app?
Yes. You can invite a partner, grandparent or nanny to your Parenting Team so they can view the camera too.
Can the camera play sounds?
Yes. Nanit Pro has four built-in sounds: birds, white noise, wind and waves. In the app you can set a timer for 30 or 60 minutes, or leave the sound playing continuously.
What warranty applies?
Nanit products bought from an authorised Australian retailer have a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. It does not cover misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised repair, damage from incorrect installation or mounting, or problems caused by your home Wi-Fi or internet connection. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law also apply.
