Nanit app: sharing with your Parenting Team and using Care Logs

The Nanit app is free to download on iPhone and Android and connects to your Nanit camera over Wi-Fi. You can share it with the people who help care for your baby and keep a shared log of their day.

Sharing with your Parenting Team

Your Parenting Team is the group of people who can see your camera. Invite a partner, grandparent or nanny so everyone can view the live camera, and on higher Nanit Insights plans they can also see sleep and care history.

• Only people you invite to your Parenting Team can view your camera.
• You can remove anyone's access instantly from the app.
• The number of caregiver accounts depends on your Nanit Insights plan, from up to 2 on the included Sleep plan to unlimited on the Milestones plan.

Logging with Care Logs

Care Logs keeps feeds, naps and nappy changes in one place, so whoever is on duty can see what has already happened. Naps in the cot are logged automatically by the camera. Everything else takes a few taps.

1. Open the Activity tab in the Nanit app.
2. Tap the + button in the bottom right corner.
3. Choose the activity, such as a nappy change, bottle feed, breastfeed or a nap outside the cot.
4. Follow the prompts to save it.

Anyone on your Parenting Team can view and add to the same Care Log. You can also share a summary with your paediatrician or lactation consultant.

Keeping your camera secure

• Video is encrypted between the camera and your phone.
• Video and account data are stored in the cloud with encryption and strict access controls.
• The app and camera firmware are updated as security threats change, so keep the app up to date.
• Use a strong, unique password for your Nanit account.
• Connect the camera to a secured, password-protected home Wi-Fi network.
