A few quick habits keep every outing on your smarTrike safe and simple. The safety features described here are those of the Wonder range, which is tested to stroller safety standards.

Six habits for every ride
- Harness on, every time. Do up the five-point harness in stroller and trike modes, even for a very short walk. It is only stowed away for free riding.
- Brake on whenever you stop. Press the rear brake once with your foot to lock it and once more to release it. Use it on flat ground as well as on slopes.
- Recline only on the Wonder max. Always have the harness done up when the seat is reclined.
- Keep a hand on the parent handle. Hold on until your child can pedal and brake on purpose, which is usually between 2 and 3 years.
- Check the locks after every fold. Listen for both clicks when you open the trike, then push.
- Register your product. This lets you be contacted about any safety updates.
The bumper bar
The safety bumper bar closes in front of your child and opens with a press, so there is no need to tug at it. You can remove it once your child is riding on their own.
Folding and unfolding
Folding takes about three seconds and needs no tools. Release the fold lock and fold the trike in one motion. It works in every mode, and you can leave the pedals on.
When you open it again, both locks should click into place. Check them before you put your child in and set off.
Steering with one hand
The parent handle turns the front wheel through a full 360 degrees, so you can steer with one hand, turn on the spot and even go backwards. The shock-absorbing front wheel helps smooth out footpaths and gravel.
Need a hand?
If a lock, the brake or the harness does not seem to be working as it should, stop using the trike and send us a request and our Melbourne team will help.
