smarTrike Wind and Wind+: features, differences and limits

The Wind and Wind+ are smarTrike's entry range, made for holidays, visits to grandparents and the occasional big day out. They share the patented steering and stroller-standard safety of the Wonder range.

Who they suit

Both suit children from 10 months, once they can sit unaided, to about 3 years. They convert through the same four modes as the Wonder range: stroller, trike, training and free riding.

If you use your trike most days, the Wonder range is built for daily use, with better seat fabrics, upgraded wheels and a sturdier frame.

What the Wind+ adds

• A low step-in frame, so your child can climb in by themselves.
• An adjustable child handlebar that rises as they grow, keeping the reach right from 10 months to 3 years.
• Detachable pedals and footrest: off for scooting, on for pedalling, and off again for the car boot.

The Wind+ is a Baby Bunting exclusive and is not sold on the smarTrike website. It carries the same 2-year Australian warranty as every smarTrike, handled by our team in Braeside.

In the box

Both come with the trike with the seat and harness fitted, the detachable parent handle, the 2-stage canopy, the pedals, the footrest and a quick-start guide. Assembly needs no tools: the wheels click on, and the parent handle slides in and locks. The Wind is the lightest trike smarTrike sells, and it folds in one motion and stands on its own.
