Setting up and using your Magic nappy bin

Created by Coolkidz Australia

Magic nappy bins do not use refill cartridges. Every bin in the range works the same way: you drop the nappy in, turn the top, and a wave seal closes behind it. Here is how to set yours up and use it day to day.

A Magic nappy bin in a nursery

Know your model

  • Heka M, Heka L and Thoth L are telescopic, so they can extend in height when you need more room.
  • Majestic is a fixed-height bin.

Fitting a bag (Heka and Thoth)

  1. Lift the lid off and place a bag into the holder.
  2. Tuck the top of the bag under the rim so the seal can close over it.
  3. Put the lid back on until it clicks.

Every nappy change

On a Heka or Thoth, drop the nappy into the opening and turn the top. The drum moves the nappy into the sealed part of the bin. Always return the top to its resting position afterwards.

On a Majestic, drop the nappy into the opening, then turn the handle forward and back. Leave the bin in the stand-by position, with the cup open, so no smell escapes.

Making more room

On a Heka or Thoth, twist the base to extend the bin. You can collapse it again for storage or travel.

Changing the bag

  1. Press the small button on the side to release the top. The top is designed to stay locked until you do this, even when the bag is full.
  2. Lift the whole top section off together with the bag.
  3. Twist the bag a few times to seal it, then remove it and put it out with your usual rubbish.
  4. Fit a new bag.
