Zazu white noise soft toys Dex, Liz, Don and Robin: common questions

Created by Coolkidz Australia

Dex the Dog, Liz the Lamb, Don the Donkey and Robin the Racoon, a comforter blanket, each hold a small sound module that plays a heartbeat, white noise, nature sounds or lullabies to help your baby settle.

Don the Donkey white noise soft toy on a shelf beside a cot with a baby inside.

Getting started

  1. Take the sound module out of the plush. On Dex, Liz and Don it sits in the belly.
  2. Fit 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Do not use zinc carbon batteries.
  3. Turn the module on with the on and off button.
  4. Choose a sound: a loop of three lullabies, nature sounds, a heartbeat or white noise.
  5. Set the volume with the volume button.
  6. Put the module back in the plush.

The sound switches off by itself after 10 minutes.

Cry sensor and shake sensor

  • Press the cry sensor button to turn it on. It stays active for 12 hours.
  • When the cry sensor hears crying, it plays the last sound again.
  • Distance and objects between the toy and your baby reduce the cry sensor's sensitivity.
  • Turn on the shake sensor if you would like to restart the last sound by gently shaking the toy.
  • Switch the module off completely when you are not using it.

Robin the Racoon extras

Robin is a comforter blanket as well as a white noise toy. A velcro strap holds your baby's dummy, and a velcro loop lets you hang Robin up. Robin uses the same buttons, sounds, timer and sensors as Dex, Liz and Don.

Washing and care

  • Always take the sound module out before washing the plush.
  • Hand wash the plush and let it air dry.
  • Wipe the module with a damp cloth only. It is not water resistant and must not go in water.
  • Take out flat batteries, and do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.

Safety

Do not place the toy inside the cot or too close to your baby. Batteries should only be fitted by an adult, and children should never play with them.
