Buttons and key lock

The buttons do not react when I press them. What is wrong?

The key lock is probably on. To unlock, press the key lock button on the right for 3 seconds.

The key lock turns on automatically when the buttons have not been touched for 1 minute. This stops the settings being changed by accident.

How can I stop my child playing with the buttons and changing the settings?

The clock enters key lock mode automatically after 1 minute. To turn it on yourself, press the key lock button for 3 seconds.

When you start the sleep timer or wake-up time, the key lock turns on straight away so the settings cannot be changed.

Eyes and wake-up time

How can I close Sam's or Davy's eyes?

In the menu, choose the time Sam or Davy will close their eyes each day. To close them earlier, press the DOWN button for 3 seconds.

How do I open Sam's or Davy's eyes manually?

Unlock the device first, then hold the UP button for 3 seconds.

Can I switch off the orange screen that comes on half an hour before wake-up?

No. It cannot be switched off and the timing is fixed at 30 minutes.

If your child is still asleep, the orange light will not wake them. If they do wake, the orange screen tells them it is not much longer until wake-up time.

Can I separate the wake-up time from the alarm time?

Yes. When you set the nap time or wake-up time, you can set the alarm separately. This lets the sound alarm go off later than the eyes open.

Power and batteries

My sleep trainer does not work on batteries.

Use new alkaline batteries from a known brand, and change to a fresh set to be sure they are full. Some batteries, such as zinc-carbon batteries, do not have enough power to move the eyes.

My sleep trainer keeps resetting by itself.

The batteries are the most likely cause. Make sure they are not nearly empty, and do not use zinc-carbon batteries, which are made for low-power products. Use new alkaline batteries from a good brand.

If the power goes off, does the sleep trainer remember its settings?

Only if batteries are fitted. We suggest keeping batteries in the sleep trainer as a backup in case the power goes off.
