Nanit Floor Stand: set-up, height and safe placement

Created by Coolkidz Australia

The Nanit Floor Stand is a freestanding stand that holds your Nanit Pro camera directly above the cot with no drilling. It suits rentals and nurseries that may be rearranged, and is the most chosen Nanit setup in Australia.

What it does

  • Gives the overhead, bird's-eye view needed for sleep tracking and breathing motion monitoring with Breathing Wear.
  • Works in free-standing mode or wall-leaning mode.
  • Has a compact flat base, about 30 cm wide, that fits under many low cots and bassinets.
  • Adjusts in height to suit a bassinet, cot or toddler bed as your child grows.
  • Includes integrated cord covers to keep cables tidy and out of reach.
  • Works with every Nanit Pro camera sold in Australia, so you can add it to a camera you already own.

What is in the box

  • Floor Stand main assembly (adjustable stand and base).
  • Integrated cable management with cord cover.
  • U-clip wall mount kit, a two-part clip that lets you remove the stand without taking it apart.
  • Assembly hardware and instructions.
  • Maximum height: About 170 cm
  • Base: Compact flat base, about 30 cm wide
  • Modes: Free-standing and wall-leaning
  • Set-up time: About 10 minutes for a Pro + Floor Stand system
  • Warranty: 1 year

Setting it up

  1. Assemble the stand and base following the instructions in the box.
  2. Stand it beside the cot. The compact base fits under many cots.
  3. Set the height so the camera sits directly above the cot.
  4. Attach your Nanit Pro camera and run the cable through the cord covers.
  5. Plug in the power adapter and check the view in the Nanit app, so the whole cot is in view.

Because it is freestanding, you can reposition it or move it to another room if your nursery layout changes.

Placement and safety

The Floor Stand takes up a little floor space and can be within reach of curious little hands, so placement matters more once your baby is mobile. Keep all cables inside the cord covers and out of reach of the cot. Damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered by the warranty.
