Gaia Baby Eos Dresser and Changing Station: set-up, safety and care

The Eos Dresser and Changing Station is a solid New Zealand pine chest of three soft-close drawers with a removable changing top, and the changing pad is included.

What you get

• Three spacious drawers on silent, soft-close runners.
• A changing station top, which you can choose to fit or leave off.
• A changing pad, 82 cm long and 47 cm wide.
• A non-toxic, water-based paint finish in your choice of frame and base colours.

Assembly

• The dresser arrives in two compact, plastic-free cartons.
• An Allen key and a spanner are supplied. You will also need a cross head screwdriver.
• Allow under 90 minutes with two people, and do not use a power drill.
• Assembly must be done by a competent adult. Keep children away from the dresser while you build it.
• Keep all unused fittings and components somewhere safe and away from young children.

After the baby years

When nappy changes are over, take the changing top off and the Eos becomes a standard chest of drawers that suits a toddler's room and beyond. The drawers also fit adult-size clothing.

• Always use the wall strap to secure the dresser to the wall.
• Use the changing top only until your baby is 12 months old or 11 kg, and never leave your child unattended on it.
• If you replace the changing pad, use one 47 x 82 cm and no more than 3 cm thick.
• Never open more than one drawer at a time, and place heavy items down low.
• Never put a TV on this furniture.
• Wipe spills straight away and clean with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or strong bleach.
• To move the dresser, lift it with a second person. Never drag it.
• Keep the tip-over warning label on the dresser. It is a permanent label.
