Matchstick Monkey animal teethers: Fox, Lion, Giraffe, Tiger, Pig, Shark and Dancing Monkey

Created by Coolkidz Australia

The animal teethers work the same way as the Original monkey, with the same soothing bumps and easy grip, just with a different character on top.

Meet the characters

  • Fox Teether: Fudge Fox, the charming one
  • Lion Teether: Ludo Lion, the brave one
  • Giraffe Teether: Gigi Giraffe, the smart one
  • Tiger Teether: Teddy Tiger, the new one
  • Pig Teether: Pickle Pig, the gentle one
  • Shark Teether: The speedy one
  • Dancing Monkey Teether: Varied textures, in blue

Grip and textures

Every animal teether is designed to soothe sore gums and make teething easier for babies and toddlers.

  • Textured bumps massage tender gums and help apply teething gel more easily and hygienically, including harder-to-reach areas.
  • The lightweight, ergonomic shape is designed for little hands to grip, which also supports motor skill development.
  • They are flexible and lightweight, so they are practical at home, on outings and when travelling.
  • The Dancing Monkey has varied textures to massage tender gums and give sensory comfort during teething.

Using teething gel

  1. Squeeze a pea-sized amount of your usual teething gel onto the textured bumps.
  2. Hand the teether to your baby so they can hold it themselves.
  3. Let them chew. The bumps help apply the gel to the gums.

Care and age

Animal teethers are made from the same food-grade, non-toxic, BPA-free silicone with BioCote antimicrobial protection as the Original, and are tested for babies and toddlers from 3 months to 3 years. They are cleaned and cooled the same way: steriliser, boiling water or dishwasher, and the fridge but never the freezer. See Matchstick Monkey teethers: common questions for more on care.

Original or animal?

Animal teethers and the Original monkey have the same soothing bumps and gel applicator. The Original comes in 14 colours, while the animal range adds a character.

One teether per child

Teethers are chewed hard over months of use, so we do not recommend passing one on to a second child. Check the teether before each use and stop using it if it is damaged.
